Basic instructions

Start in three steps

Classic required a client download, an installer and a manual patch cycle. The reborn client needs a browser.

Press Play

The client opens in this tab. The first visit streams Castle Cronous in a few seconds; after that it loads from your cache. On the title screen, press Enter Cronous.

Choose server, sign in

Pick a server and its channel, then Login or Register. An account name is 3 to 24 letters, digits or underscores; a password is at least 12 characters. Use a fresh password, not one you use elsewhere.

Make your hero

Fighter, Valkyrie, Magician or Savage. Name them, step into the world, and you arrive in Castle Cronous with starter supplies. Left-click moves and attacks; E talks to the nearest NPC.

What is Cronous?

A full-3D action MMORPG

Cronous was 2004's answer to the isometric action RPG: zoom and rotate, but never lose the view. Quests that branch, items that grow with you, and a siege system that needs all four classes to hold a castle.

Growth items that level with you, change shape, and can carry your name forever.
Up to thirty million skill sets. Thirty skills per hero, unlearned and relearned as you travel.
Religion, apprentice, party and guild systems, plus castle management and siege warfare.
Non-linear stories. Some quests must be solved, some ignored, and a few are hidden.
